Welcome to the BEWET Seakayaking Group!
BEWET-SeaKayak is a small group of paddlers who enjoy the serene environment that the waters of Puget Sound has to offer. We primarily operate weekday paddles which affords us the opportunity to get out on the water after work - getting out on the weekends is easy after all :). The group has a wide range of skill levels, from brand new to seasoned veterans. This is a great way to see some launch spots you may not be familiar with, learn some tricks in an informal way, and get in your mid-week paddle fix.
We tour the waters around Central-Puget Sound from Discovery Park to Redondo, as well as the fresh waters of Lake Union, Lake Washington, and Lake Sammamish. There are currently paddles every Monday (led by Dave Carlson) & Wednesday night (led by Mark Greengo). Monday tends to be a bit quicker with more Sound crossings, while Wednesday is still fast-passed but usually more appropriate for new group members. So come on out and join us! All trips start at 4:30 and last 1.5 to 2 hours, rain, snow, wind, or shine.
