Snoqualmie MF (IV-)
Description:With it's proximity to Seattle one would think this would be a popular club run. No longer. Years ago there was a good put-in and adequate take-out. Now the put-in is a difficult bridge one, and the take-out is in a residential area, where the residents whine about 'public nudity' (getting out of wetsuits?) and the boats have to be traversed over a locked gate at the power-line access.
If this hasn't dissuaded you from trying the river, there are numerous class II & III rapids and one class IV (House Rocks Drop) during this 8 mile run that make it a lot of fun. This river is generally runnable from 1500 to 3500 CFS (nr Tanner).
Directions: Allow 45 min. driving time from Seattle. Take I-90 East to Exit 34. Meeting spot is generally at the truck stop on the north side.
